French Services
Orthophonie
Shoreline offre des services en Français pour le développement de la parole, les retards et les troubles du langage et aussi le soutien à l’alphabétisation pour les enfants d’âge préscolaire et scolaire.
Les services commencent avec une évaluation. L’évaluation permet de déterminer si les capacités de communication de l’enfant se situent dans les limites normales pour son âge et son exposition au langage, ou si l’enfant répond aux critières d’un trouble de la communication. L’évaluation fournit également un profil des points forts de l’enfant et des domaines à suivre pendant le traitement. Pour diagnostiquer un trouble de la communication chez un enfant bilingue, l’enfant doit être évalué dans toutes les langues. Par exemple, si un enfant est bilingue en anglais et en français, il doit être évalué en anglais et en français.
Les services d’orthophonie sont offerts par notre clinicienne bilingue, Stephanie Tuck.
Speech-Language Pathology
French services are available for speech sound development, language difficulties/disorders, and reading difficulties/disorders for preschool and school-age children.
Service begins with an assessment. An assessment tells us whether a child's communication skills are within normal limits for their age and language exposure, or if they meet the criteria for a communication disorder. It also provides a profile of their strengths and areas to support during treatment. To diagnose a communication disorder in a bilingual child, they must be assessed in all of their languages. For example, if a child is bilingual in English and French, they would need to be assessed in both English and French.
SLP services are provided by our lead on French clinical services, Stephanie Tuck.
Tutorat en Lecture
Le soutien à la lecture est assuré par notre tutrice an alphabétisation, Hannah Markert. Une évaluation préalable par un psychologue ou un orthophoniste est nécessaire pour bénéficier de ces services.
